People migrate for many different reasons and not every story is the same. Generally, it can be said the aim is to gain financial stability and better future prospects, but this simplistic approach leaves out of the equation the multiple challenges encountered in the way.
Against the Wall is an exploration into this upheaval. Presenting the struggles linked to the immigration process in a confronting yet colorful depiction, this introspection attempts to represent feelings, emotions and situations by the use of shapes, lines, and patterns.
This series of works commence a study into the immigration story and its social implications in the quest of raising awareness on the difficulties of this transition and with the aim to impact the way in which the general community perceives this process.
