Delft Two / Too is the development of a collection titled Delft for Emabet Blue.
Original pieces were created in tribute to a former refugee —a friend who had passed, and on reflection of Durbin’s Dutch heritage; considering the “appropriation” of delftware by the Dutch from China. Silk scarves de and re constructed, the potential of the liminal in betweens experienced through migration is examined in new hybrid outcomes and corresponding publications.
