The artist, in this series of thirteen acrylic works on canvas, re-presents the everyday as unique. This is achieved through the use of subdued palettes, an elemental linear technique, and compositions which subtly place and hold the figures in their individual states of contemplation, conversation, activity. In this way the depictions skillfully reconfigure moments of urban ordinariness as having the possibility of being both ethereal and timeless.
