'When the ripe fruit falls its sweetness distills and trickles away into the veins of the earth.' - DH Lawrence

INFORMATION

Ripe Is a Collective of 35 multi-disciplinary artists exhibiting work across a range of art forms including time-based, sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and installation. This exhibition is a presentation of contemporary and experimental approaches to artmaking, featuring examples of developing practices and individual approaches to artistic expression from a group of artists informing each other and evolving both separately and as a group.

Our commonality is our passion for artistic expression and our nature is to spend time nurturing and evolving our creative processes. Just like a fruit goes through its many stages over time until it fully ripens, so does the artist develop and mature over time until they are seasoned and ready to emerge into the artworld. The strong thread of exploration and development over time is what unifies our collective works presenting an exhibition of diverse contemporaneity.

The artists in this exhibition offer a cornucopia of creative outputs, reflecting the diversity of the artists in the group, and the diverse materials, processes and creative concepts underpinning each artist's individual practice.
