INFORMATION

daniel lopez lomeli understands himself both as a dot and a multiplicity of dots, born in mexico city; living and working in sydney with the main concern of rattling dots which rattle

him amongst a nebulae of dots that both challenge and inspire him… morphing dots and contexts he has been an architecture, jewelry and horticulture student… professionally with diverse experiences he has worked as a postman, waiter, au pair, joiner, cleaner, cook, artist

assistant, salesman and debt recovery agent amongst a few others…

collision intends to portray:

1. a moment of duality where personal conflict and liberation are one.

2. dot as singularity in harmony with its context.

3. a group of dots as a new constellation or remainder to look up to the stars.

4. darkness as imminent end and darkness as a point of resurgence.

5. an overlap of time in a single moment.

collision intends to be:

1. an open invitation for anyone interested to collaborate in unexpected projects.

collision has been for daniel lopez lomeli:

1. a doorway to focus on morphing into a healthier lifestyle.

2. a project that left him roughly five hours of sleep for the last three months.

3. a way to assimilate his feelings and attempt to understand them.

4. a perfect way to tie alebrijes 2.0 with his present.

collision prices are all the same for the next reasons:

1. “roughly the same time” to conceptualise, sketch and materialise.

2. nine two five makes allusion to the number assigned to sterling silver. *sterling silver being the main material chosen for his next project.

3. nine “to” five alluding office hours versus reality.

4. nine hundred and five as a representational value that covers materials, hours worked and commissions.
