INFORMATION

In Plain Sight brings together an eclectic group of painters who explore the complex meanings behind the multi-faceted and banal aspects of our everyday lives. These artists celebrate the mundane, while attempting to uncover the deeper layers of meaning inherent in these day-to-day objects, images and experiences.

Each artist’s work is focused on a unique subject matter, creating unexpected and playful connections - from shipping containers and animal skeletons, to intimate snapshots of private lives. These artists look with critical eyes; their individual perspectives and painting styles inevitably reflecting the peculiarity of the human experience.
