'I aim to give a physical representation of my own mental processes, using it as a springboard to invite others to reflect on their own emotional patterns and habits.'
Exhibition Statement
This installation explores conditioned habits and safety nets when dealing with anxious moments. The work utilises lithograph rubbings of objects which are part of my own back up and safety net when I feel I need to reach for it and explores how a material object can assist in balancing out emotion or giving comfort.
Using this installation as an opening, I attempt to contribute to the growing discussion around mental health using my own experiences. I aim to give a physical representation of my own mental processes, using it as a springboard to invite others to reflect on their own emotional patterns and habits.
