AnnLin is a self-taught visual artist and writer, whose paintings are driven by and drawn from a range of influences which include: collages, and public artworks, graffiti, aspects of street art, contemporary art, abstract &experimental art. She adopts critical thought as an instrumental aspect of art creation.
AnnLin (b.1963, China) has lived in Sydney for 33 years. She graduated with a Diploma in Commerce from the University of NSW. She is a contemporary artist with a unique style. She has an accounting background. Ann Lin's artwork and published novels reflect both an acceptance and rejection of her interlocking ethnic, cultural and social identities.
As a writer, AnnLin started writing prose for the newspapers in Mainland China in 1984.
