Born in Romania into a family of professional artists I was immersed in art from a young age and have an inbuilt creative passion. After graduating with a Fine Arts Honours degree majoring in painting, I exhibited my work in Bucharest for many years before opening my own gallery.
As a practicing artist, designer, maker I have over 15 years experience in a range of fields, from painting, silver jewellery to porcelain, which is my current passion.
Always fascinated by vintage embroidery, I create porcelain shoes & handbags as the medium to support this. My work is influenced by ‘aged’ and ‘distressed’ beauty. My pieces are slab built recreations of my drawings, heavily textured with ‘embroidered’ motifs & ‘lace’. I use antique ‘wearabilia’ as a source of inspiration, to express the beautiful patina of time.
