"Despite its fleeting shelf-life, these plastic and leather bound objects are imbued with personal stories and nostalgia to some."

INFORMATION

Sneakers have risen from humble footwear to a sub-cultural phenomenon and volatile commodity in the past decades. Despite its fleeting shelf-life, these plastic and leather bound objects are imbued with personal stories and nostalgia to some.

‘Sneaker Eulogy’ is a self-indulgent obsessive illustrated exercise of pairs I had kept and let go of from my down-sizing closet. The miniature series celebrate and confront my own obsession with athletic footwear in miniscule detail.

ARTIST BIO

Eric is a Sydney-based Architect and visual artist. His work is characterized by his genuine combination of curiosity, openness, and nostalgia from pop culture and personal perspective.
